At Simple Flying, we like hearing from our readers. We invite conversation and debate on all things plane-related, whether it’s your opinion on the newest hot topics in the wide world of aviation or sharing your recollections of airlines and planes that are no longer in the skies. Users who want to start their own discussions will benefit greatly from the opportunity to create their own Threads!
Threads are an effective way to get your voice heard, regardless of which aviation specialty interest you the most. Recent discussions have focused on a variety of themes, including the future of Emirates’ fleet and how to run your own airline. Users can also follow specific thread topics to increase their participation.
Onward and upward.
The first months of user-submitted Threads have been a big success, with 1,400 posts. More than 5,000 users have left over 15,000 comments, firmly establishing the Threads homepage as the go-to location for user-generated aviation debate. As we start 2025, here’s to a fantastic year of Threads interaction – for anyone interested in learning more, read on!
How does this work?
Select pages, including our Threads Homepage, feature a blue “+” button. Clicking here will bring up a window where you can suggest the thread you wish to start. You will need to fill out:
- Title: The title of your discussion thread.
- Content – In this section, you can add background information about the topic as well as your perspective.
- Link (optional) – If applicable to your issue, include a relevant link here.
- Image (optional) – You can also upload an image to use in your topic.
Once all of this has been included, you will be asked to review your idea before sending it.
The crew moderates all suggestions.
Our team will review all thread recommendations before they are published to verify that they are acceptable. If your idea is published, you will receive an email notification once it is live. If your idea is rejected, we will explain why (but we will not provide feedback for spam entries).
