Vueling, the Barcelona-based low-cost airline, has just unveiled the new uniforms (video) that the more than 2,000 crew members will wear from this summer onwards.
The new outfits were initially designed by the company’s hostesses and stewards. More than three quarters of them worked on the project for over two years with the help of designers to create the final models.
According to Vueling, "These new uniforms illustrate perfectly the professional values of the airline which are modernity, reliability, expertise, friendliness and elegance."
The flight attendants will wear yellow scarves and ties, and the hostesses will have the option of wearing a dress, trousers or skirt. To help the passengers differenciate them from the other cabin crew menbers, Pursers will wear gray scarves or ties and a dark gray outfit. The fabric is composed of wool, polyester and spandex.
Launched in 2004, Vueling (IAG group) now operates more than 366 connections to 160 cities throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with a fleet about a hundred aircraft, composed exclusively of Airbus A320 family’s.
