After the Barbie plane, here's the Hello Kitty ! Images of the famous Japanese character’s whole Sanrio family have appeared on six various types of aircraft since 2011. Their recent arrival in France on the fuselage of the Taiwanese company Eva Air’s Boeing 777, was the first of three weekly flights between Paris and Taipei, capital of Taiwan. We thought you would like to come with us to say “Hello Kitty”.
Glenn Chai, Vice Chairman - Eva Air: interview in the video.
Upon registration, passengers are immersed in the world of the cat with the pink bow, that despite being 40 years old has not aged one iota. Cabin crew wear pink aprons, and onboard there are more than 100 different objects with the image of Hello Kitty, from the seat headrest, the meal trays, through to cushions and toiletries; an atmosphere that leaves no one indifferent.
For the Japanese brand Sanrio, Hello Kitty airplanes are a great international showcase, and for Eva Air, thanks to the many tax-free derivative products, a means of increasing its onboard sales. The powers of Hello Kitty know no borders.
