• MC-21 unveiled by Irkut Corporation

  

  The Russian aircraft manufacturer Irkut Corporation unveiled yesterday its new MC-21, which will have to compete with the A320 and the B737 in two years’ time. The plane is intended to make its maiden flight at the end of the year.

  In 2017, the MC-21 will be a serious competitor to the A320 and Boeing 737. It is Russian-made. The assembly of Irkut Corporation's single-aisle will begin in 2013.
