Sully the Movie on the A320 Hudson Landing Out Soon

We all remember the images that went around the world of the US Airways A320 crash landing on the Hudson River in New York. On the 15^th of January 2009, after having taken off from LaGuardia airport, both engines lost nearly all of their power as a result of a bird strike. The captain then decided to make an emergency water landing. His decision saved the lives of all 155 people on board.

"Sully", the Captain’s nickname, taken from his real name : Sullenberger, tells the story of this incredible incident and of the investigation that followed. Clint Eastwood’s latest movie features Tom Hanks in the lead role. Watch the trailer.

"Sully" is due to be released on the 9th September in the US and Canada.
