Video - When cabin lighting synchronizes your biological clock

- By

Conceived back in the 1980's, light therapy, which consists in exposing oneself to artificial light is proving its worth. This technique is used to treat, for example, but not only, seasonal depression associated with lack of light. It also helps you to synchronize your biological clock. The neurologist Michel Tiberge kindly enlightened us on the subject.

Many airlines now use the cabin lighting of their aircraft to help overcome the problems associated with de-synchronization of passengers' biological rhythms during long-haul flights. Thanks to LED technology that offers millions of colour combinations, it is possible to advance or retard passengers' biological rhythms - depending on the colour used.

So from now on, when the colour changes on board, you will know that either the Sandman cometh, or it is simply time to disembark.
