Announced last March under the code name "M-1000", Dassault Aviation unveiled its new, very long range jet, the 8X Falcon, on 19th., May. The aircraft which, for the time being, exists only on paper, was presented in Geneva, Switzerland, on the eve of the opening of the EBACE business aviation show.

  • Falcon 7X speed record

    On May 2nd 2014, a Falcon 7X flew between Teterboro Airport (New-York City, United States) and London City Airport (United Kingdom) in a record time of 5 hours and 54 minutes according to Dassault Aviation. The aircraft, fully equipped for normal operation, cruised at a speed more than 670 mph (1,090 kph) over a distance of 4,000 miles (6,450 km).

    On 9th., April, more than six years after its launch, the Learjet 85 made its first test flight over Wichita, Kansas, in the United States where it is assembled. During the two hours spent in the air, the prototype reached an altitude of over 9,100 m. (29,800 ft.) and a speed of 460 km/h (285 mph).
