Video - HondaJet's Japan stopover before Europe

- By

It is Japanese, but this is the first time it has landed on Japanese soil. The HondaJet (HA-420), assembled in Greensboro in the USA, landed at Tokyo's Haneda Airport on 23rd April.

The Japanese manufacturer has now embarked on a world tour. After the maiden flight of the first production unit last June, and having obtained a provisional certificate from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), at the end of March, this year, the time has come to present it to potential customers.

In order to do that, this small private jet, able to carry up to five passengers, will travel 48,000 kilometres (30,000 miles), and stopover in thirteen different countries. After Japan, in May, the HA-420 will fly to the Ebace business aviation dedicated show in Switzerland, then on to the UK, Belgium, France, Germany and Poland, performing flight demonstrations at each stage.

Aimed mainly at wooing potential buyers in the European and American markets, the HA-420 twin-jet, at a sale price of $ 4.5 million each, currently has one hundred firm orders ; first deliveries of which, are expected late 2015 - early 2016.
