  • Dassault Aviation Falcon 8X rolls out

    On 17th December, at their Bordeaux-Merignac site (south western of France), Dassault Aviation welcomed 200 carefully selected guests to the official presentation of their new flagship, the Falcon 8X. A really special moment for Dassault and their customers.

  • Dassault’s Little Rock plant expands

    On 17th December, the first Falcon 8X, destined for flight testing, will roll off the production line at Merignac (near Bordeaux, South West France). For the occasion, Dassault Aviation has invited some 200 people, mostly customers. During 2016, the first business jets of the series will go to the Little Rock plant in the United States to have their cabins fitted out.

  • Falcon-50 crashed with Christophe de Margerie

    After the shock come the investigations. On Monday, 20th October, around 10 o’clock late evening (Paris time), the Falcon 50 jet, carrying the CEO of Total, crashed at Vnukovo Airport, one of Moscow’s three international airports (see the amateur video above).

  • Challenger 650: new Bombardier twin-jet

    Bombardier is expanding its line of Challenger business jets. The Canadian manufacturer presented their Challenger 650 on 19th., October in Orlando, Florida. The presentation ceremony was held on the tarmac of the NBAA show, dedicated to business aviation, which runs from 21st to 23rd October.

  • Gulfstream launches two new business jets

    On 14 October at their headquarters in Savannah, Gulfstream unveiled two new top of the range business jet projects: the G500 and the G600. Main objective: to prevent the Dassault Aviation 5X and 8X Falcon from gaining too much of a stronghold on the market.

  • Dassault unveils its Falcon 8X

    Announced last March under the code name "M-1000", Dassault Aviation unveiled its new, very long range jet, the Falcon 8X on 19th May. The aircraft which, for the time being exists only on paper, was presented in Geneva, Switzerland, on the eve of the opening of the EBACE business aviation show.

  • Falcon 7X speed record

    On May 2nd 2014, a Falcon 7X flew between Teterboro Airport (New-York City, United States) and London City Airport (United Kingdom) in a record time of 5 hours and 54 minutes according to Dassault Aviation. The aircraft, fully equipped for normal operation, cruised at a speed more than 670 mph (1,090 kph) over a distance of 4,000 miles (6,450 km).

  • Newrest provides 5-star snacks at Le Bourget

    After Nice, Geneva, Malaga and Palma, Majorca in the Spanish Balearic Islands, Newrest has just opened a new designated business aviation kitchen at Le Bourget airport, near Paris. The company, which has specialized in ''aviation catering'' since 1996 has done this in respond to a demand from its upmarket clientele.

  • Bombardier's Learjet 85 first flight

    On 9th., April, more than six years after its launch, the Learjet 85 made its first test flight over Wichita, Kansas, in the United States where it is assembled. During the two hours spent in the air, the prototype reached an altitude of over 9,100 m. (29,800 ft.) and a speed of 460 km/h (285 mph).

  • Dassault Aviation's business jets, and the Rafale...
