Liebherr-Aerospace has doubled the size of its maintenance centre. Located close to Shanghai airport, it has now an increased surface area of 40,000 sq ft (3,700 m2) and some 40 employees on site. The aeronautical equipment manufacturer aims to ensure faster repair and overhaul of air conditioning and bleed air systems that equip planes operated by its Chinese clients.

With this 3.5 million Euro extension, the aerospace division of Liebherr Group will also be closer to the final assembly lines of aircraft manufacturers in China - to whom it supplies landing gear and air systems.
With another centre in Singapore and this extension in China, Liebherr-Aerospace is geared up to face the challenge of a growing aerospace maintenance market in the Asia-Pacific region.
