Video - Safran’s subsidiaries acquire new names

- By

Snecma, Turbomeca, Messier-Bugatti-Dowty, Hispano-Suiza amongst the total of ten companies in the Safran group, officially changed their names on 19 May. From now on, the Safran Group subsidiaries take on their new Safran names according to the various domains in which they operate.

For example, Aircelle, becomes Safran Nacelles, Messier-Bugatti-Dowty is now called Safran Landing Systems, and Snecma is Safran Aircraft Engines; all so that the Safran group and the 17 billion euros in turnover they made last year, become even more well-known.

As Safran Group’s Executive Vice President Communications, Pascale Dubois explains, "Safran needs to be more visible and legible in their markets, and with customers. It is therefore to reinforce our reputation, both in France and internationally, that we have done this, even though we are already well established since we are among the top 500 global brands".

The move should also help to strengthen the group’s internal corporate identity amongst its 70,000 employees, half of whom were recruited during the last five years.

In addition to the name change, Safran Group’s subsidiaries will now have a unique logo - that of the group - and a new slogan: "Powered by Trust". A new identity that will be fully deployed worldwide by the end of 2017. Safran is present in 60 countries.
