It was a year ago that the foundation stone of Safran’s Toulouse site (south west France) was laid. Since then, the site has advanced well. The three buildings that will soon house the 269,000 square feet (25,000 m2) of offices have sprung up. Three months off from the handing over of the keys, the project has now entered the finishing phase. Concerning construction, as the project manager, Christine Cochelin explained, all there is left to do is mount the partitions.
In accordance with the original schedule, Safran’s 1,400 employees, including executives, sales staff, researchers and engineers, will therefore take possession of their new premises from March next year. The idea being to regroup the various entities now scattered all over the Toulouse region (south west France) into one location, for several main reasons: to optimize costs, enhance synergies and reinforce team cohesion.
As can be seen in these CAD images, the buildings are interconnected. With this new extra large showcase, it will be hard to miss the second biggest aerospace employer in the Midi-Pyrénées region.
