Video - Brexit: "to stay competitive is the key word" said Airbus Group CEO

- By

Speaking at the opening of the company's new headquarters near Toulouse last Tuesday, Airbus Group Chief Executive Tom Enders discussed the consequences of Airbus Group's activities in the UK following the Brexit.

Of the 135,000 Airbus Group’s employees, 15,000 people work in the UK. The two main sites of the aircraft manufacturer Airbus are those at Broughton, which produces more than 1,000 aircraft wings annually, and Filton being mainly dedicated to R&D.

If Tom Enders studies "the long-term consequences of this decision concerning the competitive environment", he believes that the UK has its place in the Airbus family, and even more so, is a "vital link in a strong European aerospace industry".
