Stress Engineer (M/F) – MAP A350 – TO

Profile:
You have a master degree in Aeronautics, ideally in Mechanics. You have at least a 2 years experience in metallics and composite structure analysis within a Design Office or at the MAP (Mise Au Point). You have acquired a good knowledge particularly in stress analysis, statics and fatigue (if possible). A composite skill will be highly appreciated.
The A350 program knowledge is a plus.
You are qualified to work with Patran/Nastran and Catia V5 (reader), SAP (for concession), VPM (reader), PDMlink (reader), DMU and ideally Isami.
You are rigorous, pragmatic, autonomous and have good communication skills in French and English to work in an international team.

Context
Mise Au Point (MAP) program "A350": Treatment of non-conformities (NC) identified during the assembly of the aircraft.
Within a study office relocated on the assembly lines, the mission is to provide industrial support for the assembly and/or equipment of the aircraft.

The primary mission of MAP is the settlement of technical problems frequently encountered on the Assembly line.
These problems are of two main types:

• Processing DQN (Design Query Notes)
During final assembly, if detection of non-compliance or deviation at the mounting related to the definition

• Processing CONCESSION
If assembly problem unrelated to the definition or damaged parts on Aircraft (Errors or production problems and differences in the definition drawings)

The position requires strong communication skills as it will be in permanent contact with:

  • The MAP partners (German, English and Spanish)
  • The Design Office,
  • Office Preparation
  • Production,
  • Quality,
  • The Manufacturing

In order to fulfill the mission, the global team follows a process where analysis, proposition and validation on design and stress tasks are alternating.

- Analysis of requests raised by the  from Manufacturing Quality Department

  • Control of the  pertinence and coherence of information
  • Inspection and additional information on Aircraft (photography, measurements e.g.)

- Problem analysis

  • Finding the cause and the consequence of  the NC
  • Collection of information (drawings/ stress dossier / procedures / tools etc.)

- Establishment of a technical solution

  • Determination of the best suitable technical solution
  • Finding the best compromise between:
    • Engineering (avionics)
    • Manufacturing (feasible solution)
    • Planning (mold release, production planning)

Work on stress to analyze and confirm the proposed repairs technical (T300)

Job Description

Integrated within a 30/40 people, you will be mainly in charge of the “T300” task on the concession :

  • Work closely with designers to give an engineering vision,
  • Perform Statics and some fatigue Stress Analysis,
  • Stress justification for the concession,
  • Work closely with the stress validation responsible from DO to be sure to obtain their validation from the first loop.
  • Confirm the technical Design proposition in T300 in the concession process (by the stress analysis),

This permanent contract is based in Toulouse (France/31) and request to be available for occasionally travel (Hamburg, Toulouse) or on call duty (Evening, Week end…).
