The French army receives the A400M With its military certification in hand, the first example of the A400M has just been delivered to the French Air Force. The event took place on August 1 in Seville, Spain, discreetly ! You will not see any photos or video of the event and for good reason, it was in a press release that the information was given; no journalist was invited either. Airbus Military handed over the first French A-400-M in Seville, Spain, on August 1, very discretely. Today, the aircraft will be flown to the Air Force base at Orleans-Bricy, a little more than 60 miles south of Paris, and will firstly be used for crew training; after which, it will join the operational transport fleet. An official ceremony marking the first delivery will take place after the summer. The second French A-400-M delivery, is expected within the next few weeks...
